Cedric George

Retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Gen. Cedric George is the vice president for strategy and growth at MetroStar, headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and has extensive work experience in strategy and growth, business development, executive advice, and logistics. George has served in various leadership roles in both private and public sectors, with a specific focus on the Department of Defense.

From 2020 to 2023, George served as the director of the Department of Defense Strategic Business Development at Amazon Web Services, where he provided strategic advice and domain expertise to match disruptive technologies to DoD and federal customer mission outcomes.

From 2019 to 2020, George served as the CEO of George Consulting Group, LLC, providing executive advice and coaching to leaders in the public and private sectors, with a focus on strategy planning and implementation. George served over 30 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as the director of logistics, deputy chief of staff for logistics, engineering and force protection, headquartered in Arlington, Virginia. Additional roles included logistics transformation lead and information officer, commander of the Warner Robins and Tinker Air logistics complexes, special assistant to the vice chief of staff, commander of the 11th Wing, director of Pacific Air Forces Air Force Smart Operations 21, commander of the 35th Maintenance Group, and commander of the 49th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, leading a team supporting F-117A stealth fighters. George has overseen large teams, managed budgets and implemented strategic plans to support combat forces globally.

George earned a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering from Norwich University in 1987 and a master of science degree in management from Troy State University, Alabama, in 1990. In 2000, he attended Air Command and Staff College, earning a master of national resource strategy degree with a specialization in military operational art and science, followed by a master of science degree in national security resourcing in 2006 from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces.
