NORMAN, OKLA. – The University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business is launching a new hybrid master’s program to help working professionals, entrepreneurs and innovators learn how to create and scale a new business, either in an existing company or as a startup.

The Master of Science degree in Entrepreneurship and Innovation offers two tracks: New Venture Development and Corporate Innovation. Each track will consist of 30 credit hours of instruction that can be completed in as little as 12 months and can be started in either the spring or fall semester.

The program begins with a one-week in-person residency featuring project-based learning and networking in the dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems of Oklahoma City and Tulsa. During this time, students will have the opportunity to interact with University of Oklahoma faculty, successful entrepreneurs, Price College alumni and a highly motivated cohort of peers. Students will then participate in weekly live online and asynchronous activities for the remainder of the program.

“The south-central U.S. has become a hotbed of startup activity, and the University of Oklahoma’s Price College of Business is a major player in the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem,” said Corey Phelps, dean of Price College and professor of entrepreneurship. "Our new master’s program provides students access to this ecosystem and OU’s entrepreneurship and innovation resources, the Tom Love Innovation Hub, Ronnie K. Irani Center for the Creation of Economic Wealth, Entrepreneurial Law Center, OK Catalyst program and the broad scientific and technological expertise of Price College’s world-class faculty.”

Todd Moss, director of the Master of Science in Entrepreneurship and Innovation program, added, “Our faculty’s leadership within the state’s entrepreneurial ecosystem offers our students a unique opportunity to not only learn and expand skills but to leverage the economic growth of our region. We look forward to launching this program and working with the bright minds each cohort will attract.”
