ROOM RESERVATIONS

The Native Nations Center for Tribal Policy Research (NNCTPR) offers the Native Nations Event Center as a reservable space for campus partners. This space can be configured for a variety of uses, including meetings, workshops, and hybrid events.

The Event Center includes essential technology, with capabilities for video conferencing, live streaming, and presentations.

Reservation requests are reviewed for availability and alignment with the space’s intended use. While we aim to honor all confirmed reservations, the NNCTPR reserves the right to reschedule if the space is needed for center-related programming or priority use. Please review our Room Reservation Policy and Guidelines before submitting a request.

What’s New in Our Policy

We’ve updated our Room Reservation Policy and Guidelines to ensure fair use of the Native Nations Event Center and to align with University-level priorities. Key updates include:

  • Priority Usage: NNCTPR, Office of Tribal Relations, and Presidential events now take scheduling priority.

  • Internal Scheduling Flexibility: Internal needs may override existing reservations. Advance notice and support will be provided if changes are required.

  • External Use: We welcome reservation requests from our campus partners; however, use is not guaranteed and is subject to review based on institutional priorities. This policy applies only to campus users and does not govern events organized by the NNCTPR.

  • Reservation Timeline: Only requests submitted 2–4 weeks from the date of your event will be considered. Requests outside this timeline will not be approved.

  • No Recurring or Standing Reservations: Weekly, semester-long, or standing reservations are not permitted, ensuring equitable access.

  • Designated Representative Required: Each request must list an OU faculty or staff member who accepts responsibility for compliance and any financial liability.
