The Alumni Advisory Council (AAC) is open to all graduates of the School of Geosciences. The Council has both service and social components that give alumni the opportunity to remain engaged with the School throughout their lives and careers.
Through our different committees, the AAC helps provide financial support to the School including scholarships, field camp infrastructure, and field trips. Our members engage with students through resume reviews, mock interviews, sponsoring and networking at social events, mentoring, and technical presentations to different clubs. Some of us have served on thesis and dissertation committees. The AAC also provides the Director and faculty insights to emerging trends outside OU.
Participation on the AAC gives one an opportunity to build leadership skills, and we welcome everyone's involvement.
