The Sarkeys Energy Center complex, originally completed in 1991, is home to several academic units of the University of Oklahoma including the Mewbourne College of Earth and Energy, the College of Atmospheric and Geographic Sciences, and the Gallogly College of Engineering School of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering.
The recent renovation and repairs to the Green Roof on the Plaza have provided an opportunity to build a unique and highly anticipated Outdoor Classroom for students in Geosciences, campus visitors, and K-12 outreach.
In 1919, history was made when the first petroleum-focused engineer graduated from the University of Oklahoma. 100 years later, the Mewbourne School of Petroleum and Geological Engineering continues to shape our nation and world through research, scholarship and teaching. In honor of this milestone, we are executing a $1 million campaign to secure the next century for our school, our mission, and our students.
Gifts to the campaign will go towards flexible student scholarship funds that can allocated to the School’s highest priority needs at the discretion of College leadership.
The Mewbourne College thanks Petroleum Experts for providing students with use of their software, a donation equivalent to $4,696,506.48.
