All OU faculty, staff and students traveling internationally on OU business or conducting OU business during personal international travel are required to complete a travel registration via OU procedures. This includes travel funded fully or in part by OU. Find more details on OU Travel page.

Per the University's policy, an OU employee who works out of the country for any length of time is required to follow procedures and obtain the necessary approvals before working out of the country. This involves contacting Export Controls, completing required documents, obtaining the required signatures on the documents, documents reviewed by our internal partners (Payroll, Risk Management, Workers Compensation, Legal Counsel, HR) and Provost approval.
Review the Out-of-State Remote Work Guideline on HR's website and contact your department or HR for any questions.
Contact the Office of Immigration Services (OIS) immediately in case a remote work request has been submitted to HR by your sponsoring department for you.
Under the automatic visa revalidation provision of immigration law, certain temporary visitors holding expired nonimmigrant visas who seek to return to the U.S. may be admitted at a U.S. port of entry by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including, but not limited to the following:
