HSP’s very own Grace Lam was recently crowned Asian Royalty, representing her Vietnamese and Chinese culture with poise! Her platform, She’s The First: Uplifting Women in Education, consists of empowering women through a peer mentoring initiative, leadership workshops, and a Women’s Art Showcase in partnership with Second Wind Coffeehouse. HSP is excited to see what Grace will accomplish with her title!
Recently, HSP was also seen at the annual Hispanic Royalty Pageant. We saw excellence on all sides of the event, with 4th-year Julieta Ibarra chairing the pageant and 2nd-year Miranda Renteria and Jose Caballero competing. Congratulations to Miranda for being awarded Best Cultural Presentation, and congratulations to everyone for their hard work in putting the show together!
Henderson Scholars are no strangers to service. This month, several scholars worked together to complete service projects via the Big Event. With one group serving Wings Oklahoma and the other with the Oklahoma Alzheimer's Association, all Scholars were reminded of the importance of giving back to the community.
Shoutout to Setara Khan and David Dimandja for stepping up as Group Leaders for the event!
The program gathered to give its Spring graduates a warm farewell this month and present its annual awards to outstanding Scholars. The following is a list of the awards presented:
