Move-Out

If you plan to move out before the end of your summer contract, you may request to move out early by completing the Early Move-Out form on the housing portal (under Housing Forms). If eligible to move out, an email will be sent to your OU email account providing early move-out instructions.

If you move out on or before July 6, you will receive a partial refund based on the date you move out, as long as you follow the proper checkout procedures. Failure to follow the proper checkout procedures may result in a $200 Improper Checkout Fee. 

If you move out after July 6, you will not receive a refund.

Residents of Dunham College must move out of their housing assignment by July 11.

Residents of Headington Hall will be required to move out by July 31. If your summer and fall housing assignment are the same, you will remain in your summer assignment. For any questions, please contact Headington Hall at (405) 325-8403.

Prior to your checkout, set your thermostat to 70 degrees Fahreheit, close and lower all blinds, and open all bathroom doors (if applicable). The room, including closets, cabinets, and drawers should be clean and free of trash, personal debris, and personal belongings. All building common areas and hallways are to remain clear of any personal belongings and trash. We are not responsible for any items left unattended in these spaces. Cleaning and damage charges will be assessed where necessary, therefore, please ensure you work with your roommates to do a thorough cleaning of common areas in addition to your room.
