Move-Out

Residents may request to move out early by completing the Early Move-Out form on the housing portal (under Housing Forms). If eligible to move out, an email will be sent to the student’s OU email account providing early move-out instructions.

Residents of Cross Village, Couch and Walker Centers, David L. Boren Hall, McCasland Hall and the Residential Colleges must move out of their housing assignment 24 hours after their last final or by noon on Saturday, May 16, whichever come first.  All residents must sign up for a checkout time by Monday, May 4. 

To sign up for an express checkout or an in-person checkout with a staff member, students should visit the Housing Forms page of the housing portal. 

Prior to your checkout, set your thermostat to 70 degrees Fahrenheit, open all bathroom doors, and close and lower all blinds. The room, including closets, cabinets, and drawers, should be clean and free of trash, personal debris, and personal belongings. All common areas and hallways are to remain clear of any personal belongings and trash. We are not responsible for any items left unattended in these spaces. The building’s trash room will be closed beginning May 11, so all trash should be disposed of in the dumpsters provided near your building. Vehicles should be parked in the lots and garages that correspond with your parking permit. Do not block dumpsters or leave vehicles idling or unattended in the middle of the street.

Residents of Headington Hall should contact Headington Hall staff at headingtonhall@ou.edu or (405) 325-8403 regarding move-out procedures. 

Residents of Traditions Square must move out of their housing assignment 24 hours after their last final or by noon on Sunday, May 31, whichever come first.
