Many students choose to not bring a car to campus. Everything you need or want is available on or very near to your campus home. Below are some details you should be aware of when bringing a bicycle to campus.

Bicycle & E-Scooter Guidelines:

  • Non-folding bicycles are prohibited within the residence halls. Bicycles that can be folded and take up no more than 92 linear inches of space can be stored in a student’s residence hall room. Students are asked to fold and unfold these bicycles outside of the residence halls.
  • Be sure to bring a strong lock and chain for the bike racks.
  • Bicycle racks are available around each housing center for easy access, as well as at multiple locations across campus.
  • Lithium-ion batteries in electric personal vehicles can pose a fire risk, particularly during charging or due to damage. These fires can escalate rapidly, posing a significant danger to individuals and property. For this reason, all electric personal vehicles with lithium-ion batteries, including but not limited to, electric scooters, electric bikes, hoverboards and electric skateboards, may not be charged or stored inside university buildings.

Bicycle & E-Scooter Registration:

  • University policy mandates bicycle & e-scooter registration.
