Many students choose to not bring a car to campus. Everything you need or want is available on or very near to your campus home. Below are some details you should be aware of when bringing a bicycle to campus.

Bicycle Guidelines:

  • Non-folding bicycles are prohibited within the residence halls. Bicycles that can be folded and take up no more than 92 linear inches of space can be stored in a student’s residence hall room. Students are asked to fold and unfold these bicycles outside of the residence halls.
  • Be sure to bring a strong lock and chain for the bike racks.
  • Bicycle racks are available around each housing center for easy access, as well as at multiple locations across campus.

Bicycle Lockers:

  • Upon your arrival in August, you may reserve a bike locker by visiting the Housing office in Walker Center, Room 126, to complete the contract, view the locker to make sure your bike will fit and pick up your key. Our office is open from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday - Friday.
  • A limited number of bicycle lockers are available for semester or full-year rental.
  • The cost is $55/semester or $100/year.

Bicycle Registration:

  • University policy mandates bicycle registration.
