Since joining the Honors College Mr. Nath has been a part of the THURJ editorial board member, the Honors Research Assistance Program, and a student member of the faculty search that took place in the Spring of 2022. Joy is graduating this May with a degree in Economics and Linguistics with a 4.0 GPA. After graduation, Nath plans to move to New York City to work in the Internal Audit Division at BlackRock Financial Management. During his time at OU Joy has also been named an Outstanding Freshman, Sophomore, and Senior among numerous other accolades.

Elizabeth Joyce is a Mechanical Engineering major with a minor in Business, she will be graduating this May. While in the Honors College Elizabeth has been the co-president of the Honors Student Association for several years, a role that comes with organizing weekly social events, open to all honors students, throughout the academic year. She is also active in the College’s Informed Citizen Discussion Groups where she attends weekly discussions covering current events. Apart from that she has been a part of various Informal Reading Groups. After graduation, Ms. Joyce plans on attending grad school and earning her Master’s degree.

Ana Spradley is a graduating senior with a major in Letters: Constitutional Studies. She has participated in a total of five reading groups and has led 4. With book choices like The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Birth of a Tragedy, The Butterfly Garden, and Anatomy of Motive, she has been able to appeal to many students. Ms. Spradley’s favorite memory from the reading groups is when she led the all-female Anatomy of Motive group, with a mixture of psychology and humanities majors, they were able to pull apart the motive people have for committing crimes while eating homemade treats. Apart from leading reading groups, Ana is also the chair of the Informal Reading Groups. Post-graduation plans include pursuing a dual master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling and Human Resource Studies at OU.

Jeanette Hoang is graduating this May with a major in Public Health and double minors in Biology and the Medical Humanities. The Oklahoma City native has participated in reading groups during her time at the Honors College. Both her reading groups have covered books that she deems essential reading. The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks is a biography that focuses on bioethics, race relations, and modern medicine, and Parachutes, a modern Asian American young adult novel, is the book she would have been able to read as a high school student. After graduation, Ms. Hoang will be attending the University of Oklahoma medical school.
