Regional + City Planning Students Placed in Jobs and Internships

Congratulations are in order for several RCPL students who have recently gotten new jobs and internships, including (pictured, from left):

  • Daniel Castaneda (S’21 graduate) – Clean Cities intern for the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments, where he plans events that advocate for various transportation and researches how to make AFV technology accessible for marginalized communities
  • Logan Hubble (S’21 graduate) – Community Development Block Grant Intern for the City of Norman, where he’s working on the early stages of developing a corridor plan for Main Street East of Porter
  • Daisy Munoz (S’21 graduate) – New Capital Access Manager for Progress OKC, a Community Development Corporation; she manages Kiva and the Building Business Better Program, which connects small businesses and entrepreneurs with capital and customized consulting
  • Micah Snyder (F’22 graduate) – Intern for the Alliance for Economic Development of Oklahoma City.

RCPL graduates have an over 90% job placement rate in their first six months after graduation. Congratulations to these students!

The Gibbs Design in Action Awards (GDAA) program, led by Dr. Wanda Liebermann, has announced its 2026–2027 funded student projects. The initiative supports design and research work that addresses social, cultural, and economic issues in the built environment through collaboration with faculty and community partners.

OU IQC Recognized in Kansas City's Byways Report

The OU Institute for Quality Communities (IQC) 2024 collaboration with the Historic Threatt Filling Station has been recognized in the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City's newly released Byways Report: The Scenic Route to Rural Prosperity – a story-driven publication exploring how road trip culture and place-based tourism can fuel economic growth in rural communities.

Gibbs Staff Member Receives Jennifer L. Wise Good Stewardship Award

The Gibbs College of Architecture is pleased to announce that Camille Germany, Chief of Staff, has been named the 2026 recipient of the university-wide Jennifer L. Wise Good Stewardship Award.
