Urban Design professional and Community Advisory Board Member Paul Dentiste recently celebrated his 90th birthday while visiting New York.
Paul is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Master of City Planning program and has served in many capacities in his long career, including: Urban Planner for the Fourth Naval District in Philadelphia, Executive Director of the Birmingham, Alabama Regional Planning Commission, and Head of Comprehensive Planning in Wilmington, Delaware, where he became acquainted with a young County Councilor named Joe Biden.
Paul is a long-serving member of the Community and Professional Advisory Board. He has been instrumental in the development of the Real Estate coursework at the Urban Design Studio.
The Gibbs Design in Action Awards (GDAA) program, led by Dr. Wanda Liebermann, has announced its 2026–2027 funded student projects. The initiative supports design and research work that addresses social, cultural, and economic issues in the built environment through collaboration with faculty and community partners.
