Gibbs College alumnus and Board of Visitors Chair Jerry Merriman is retiring from his role as President of Merriman Anderson Architects (MAA). His wife, Deby, who is the director of MAA Human Resources, is also retiring. Together, they founded the firm in 1987, in Dallas, TX, and have been “instrumental in shaping the downtown’s skyline.”

Combined CNS & ARCH Team Wins 3rd in National NAHB Competition

A team of Construction Science and Architecture students from the Gibbs College of Architecture made their mark on the national stage this week, earning third place out of 37 universities competing at the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Student Competition, held during the International Builders' Show in Orlando, February 16-18, 2026.
