The Office of Diversity and Inclusion has announced the Fall 2019 schedule of Diversity Ally workshops for OU faculty and staff. Developed by OU Faculty and Staff, the “Unlearning” series is intended to help our campus community have safe and meaningful conversations about differences, to increase awareness of personal and community bias, and to promote inclusion at work and in the classroom. These workshops may be completed in any order and give you the opportunity to earn the Diversity Ally certificate. To sign up, visit the Human Resources training calendar.

What is Unlearning?
The concept of unlearning is based in the theory that with constant learning, we must unlearn and relearn certain principles and practices. The workshops assist in demonstrating how common practices and behaviors can systematically harm and marginalize others.Unlearning may be formidable sounding, but the actual process brings about positive growth. The Diversity Ally workshops serve to challenge detrimental behaviors and encourage positive growth within our university community.
Earn Your Diversity Ally Certificate
If you complete each of the four Unlearning workshops you will earn the Diversity Ally certificate.

Gibbs College is pleased to present the exhibition 200 Digital Drawings by Professor Tiziana Proietti, currently on display in the Gould Hall Living Room.
Gibbs College of Architecture Professors Amber Brown and Amy Leveno led 29 students to Dallas, Texas, in September for a learning experience as part of their Design 7 Studio course.
Christopher C. Gibbs College of Architecture professor and Institute for Quality Communities Director Dr. Amber N. Wiley’s book, Model Schools in the Model City: Race, Planning, and Education in the Nation’s Capital, has received two major honors from the Urban History Association.
