Urban Design Students Host Community Design Workshop

Master of Urban Design students from the Urban Design Studio hosted a community design workshop for Tulsa’s B.S. Roberts Park on December 8th. Community members were able to learn about the park, offer ideas for park improvements and meet the student team in charge of placemaking efforts. The students are working with the Greenwood Cultural Center to reactivate B.S. Roberts Park, which is located along Greenwood Ave, in the middle of the area destroyed by the 1921 Race Massacre.

Emeritus Professor Named Recipient of National Leadership Award

Ronald Frantz Jr., emeritus professor, has been named a 2026 Mary Means Leadership Award recipient, the highest honor presented by Main Street America. The award was announced at the Main Street Now Conference in Tulsa, recognizing leaders who advance preservation-based economic development and community revitalization.
