Her teaching and scholarship emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration, with a focus on conserving and regenerating air and water systems in urban and suburban environments. Each of her design studios incorporates technical development and analytical visualization to advance environmentally responsive architecture.

With more than 17 years of experience in both commercial and governmental practice, Lee previously served as Director of Sustainable Design at the Benham Companies, now Leidos. Her leadership in sustainability extends across the state, where she helped establish the Oklahoma Sustainability Network and the Oklahoma Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.
