Letter from the Outgoing President

Dear Fellow Gaylord Alumni,
It was my pleasure to serve as the President of JayMac the past two years. During my tenure, I saw through the completion and implementation of bylaws, a successful launch of a website, the move to a digital newsletter, and a stronger relationship between Gaylord students and the JayMac board.
It was my hope that during my term we would launch new programs, connect our students directly with the alumni they aspire to be, and plan events to bring you all back to campus, but COVID had other plans for us. It allowed us to re-group, re-think, and make solid plans for the future, and I am excited to see where JayMac soars in the future.
With the new bylaws in place, we established an executive committee within the board, and Sundee Busby served as my vice president, and has now taken the reins of the board. Sundee has hit the ground running, meeting with Dean Kelley, other board members, and has some amazing things coming down the pipeline and coming your way. I am so excited about the growth JayMac has seen over the last two years, and can’t wait to see what is in store under Sundee’s leadership.
I hope you’ll stand with me, ready for ways to engage with our students and the college that gave so much to us. Our opportunity is coming, and our students need us all.
Thank you for allowing me to serve as your president, it was truly an honor.
