This lecture was a keynote address delivered by Dr. James Hunter on December 6, 2016 as part of a conference titled "How are the Children? Promoting Child Flourishing in Oklahoma City." Dr. Hunter is Labrosse-Levinson Distinguished Professor of Religion, Culture, and Social Theory and Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Culture at the University of Virginia.

The conference was sponsored by the Institute for the Study of Human Flourishing and organized in collaboration with Thriving Cities and Salt and Light Leadership Training of Oklahoma City.
