Dr. Brian T. Wolfe (he/him/his) is the Assistant Director of Athletic Bands at the University of Oklahoma School of Music. In this role, he is responsible for a range of activities, including Assistant Director of the “Pride of Oklahoma” Marching Band, conductor of the Sooner Campus Band, director of the “Sound of the Sooners” Men’s Basketball Band, coordinator of the Women’s Basketball Band, and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in conducting and music education.

Before joining the University of Oklahoma faculty, Dr. Wolfe spent from 2004-2010 as the Director of Bands at Rincon/University High School in Tucson, Arizona. During his time in Tucson, his ensembles performed at Carnegie Hall, the North Texas Jazz Festival, the Arizona Music Educators Association Conference, and the Fiesta Bowl National Band Championship.

In addition to his work with the University of Oklahoma Dr. Wolfe conducts and teaches in Costa Rica and during the summer serves as a lead clinician with the George N. Parks Drum Major Academy©. His technology interests extend to Apple, Inc. as a Distinguished Educator to promote technology in music education.

Dr. Wolfe earned his Doctor of Musical Arts degree in wind conducting from the University of Oklahoma, a Master of Music degree in wind conducting from the University of Arizona, and a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education from the University of Arkansas. Wolfe is a member of several professional associations, including the College Band Directors National Association, National Band Association, Kappa Kappa Psi, Tau Beta Sigma, and Phi Mu Alpha. Wolfe is an active conductor and clinician both in the United States and internationally.
