Dr. Armand Ambrosini Jr appears as recitalist, chamber musician, teacher, and lecturer throughout the United States. He has been a Performing Artist-in-Residence at the Sequoia Chamber Music Workshop, Humboldt State University, Arcata, California since 1991; Ashland Chamber Music Workshop, Southern Oregon State University, Ashland, Oregon 1995-2015; the Chamber Music Conference and Composer’s Forum of the East, Bennington College, Bennington, Vermont since 2000-2016; and Humboldt State University Summer Chamber Music Workshop, Arcata, California since 2004. He is co- principal clarinetist with the Enid Symphony Orchestra. He has recorded on Albany Records, and for Kendall/Hunt Publishing Company. He has served on the faculty at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and Humboldt State University prior to his current position at the University of Oklahoma.

His first book and accompanying CD: Ned Rorem’s Song Cycle Ariel: A Musical Dramatization of Five Poems by Sylvia Plath in December 2001 by KENDALL/HUNT Publishing Company, has received high praise from Ned Rorem and a glowing review from Debra Greschner in the NATS Journal of Singing, March/April 2006. He appeared as guest artist in a performance and a question-and-answer session on this song cycle in the Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center on June 2, 2011; part of a two-day conference sponsored by Cornell University themed “The Arts and Mental Health.” The second and third e-book edition release this year of the music textbook “Introduction to Western Concert Music,” which he coauthored, includes a comprehensive study aid and five accompanying SONY compact discs.
