Updates for the October 14, 2024, Faculty Senate Meeting
Why? Sean Burrage, OU vice president of executive affairs and chief of staff, was named the state’s new chancellor by the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education. As higher education chancellor, Burrage will serve as the head of the Oklahoma State System of Higher Education, which includes 25 colleges and universities.
Why? The current bylaws are in need of updating and modernization. The full Senate will be working on this task and questions and suggestions are welcome from all faculty. Among the changes to be con- sidered is how “non-regular” faculty can be included in representation on the Senate. To suggest modifications or voice questions/concerns, please contact your college’s Senator(s).
