Student Government Association Outstanding Faculty Award

The Outstanding Faculty Award was established in 1982 and is awarded by the Student Government Association to recognize outstanding faculty, administrators and staff members throughout campus. Awardees receive a framed certificate.


CRITERIA

Any faculty, administrator or staff on the OU Norman Campus who have impacted a group or individual student's college experience in a positive way.

NOMINATION PROCEDURES

Initiation

The Student Government will send out a call for nominations in early Spring.

Recommendations

All registered students are able to nominate one or more faculty members, administrators or staff members that have impacted their college experience.

Supporting Documentation

The student is asked to elaborate why they have nominated the individual for the award, provide a story of how the individual has impacted their college experience and what qualities make this individual a role model and mentor on campus.

SELECTION PROCEDURES

All applications will be reviewed by the Student Government Association Awards Committee, which will make the final selection.

ANNOUNCEMENT

The final selection will be announced for Norman Campus at the annual Faculty Awards and Honors ceremony.
