Eric Bosse (MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction) has taught in the OU Expository Writing program since 2007, apart from a one-year stint on loan to the English Department as Visiting Creative Writer in 2014-2015. He has also led summer programs abroad in Ireland (2012, 2018) and Italy (2013). In 2017 he received OU's Robert D. Lemon Award for Social Justice. Since 2011, he has been faculty adviser and co-leader for OU Write Club. He also served as Faculty-in-Residence in Couch Tower from 2014 to 2018. In his career at OU, he has hosted more than 200 public events (including readings, open mics, lectures, workshops, and celebrations). He joined the Women's and Gender Studies program as an affiliate faculty member in 2012 and served on the Social Justice Committee from 2014-2016. In addition to academic work, he writes and publishes fiction, poetry, humor, and creative nonfiction. He has published more than sixty stories in such magazines and journals as The Sun, Mississippi Review, Exquisite Corpse, Zoetrope, Eclectica, The Collagist, New World Writing, and Wigleaf. His short story collection, Magnificent Mistakes, was released in 2011 by Ravenna Press and followed by a chapbook in 2013, The Last Few Minutes Before the Bomb, also from Ravenna Press. He received the MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana in 2006.
