Hanna Lee is the Happy Teacher Project Director and has worked for the Early Childhood Education Institute for 5 years. Previously she was Assistant Director of the SEED Study (School Experiences and Early Development), which is a longitudinal study of the impacts of preschool programs on children’s early development funded by an NIH grant. Hanna is bilingual (Spanish and English) and is certified on a number of classroom observation tools and child assessment tools.
Fun fact: Hanna raised her children in Peru during their preschool years and with her second daughter, she coordinated a mother’s-day-out program among a few families. She loved getting to be a part of her daughter’s early development, but she also gained important insight into the large responsibility of caring for other little ones, each with their own personalities, needs, and habits.
Encouraging note: I hope that the project reinforces the importance of YOU and your wellbeing and gives you new motivation to prioritize your own health and happiness. Healthy living gives us the energy and joy we need, so that those good gifts can spill over into our little ones instead of coming at such a high sacrifice.
