Diane Horm, director of the Early Childhood Education Institute and George Kaiser Family Foundation Endowed Chair, led a discussion titled “Early Childhood: Why It Is Important to OU, Oklahoma and Our Nation” for an OU President’s Associates dinner on March 6 in Tulsa.
Through the ECEI at OU Tulsa, Horm is leading several applied research initiatives in early childhood education, including program evaluation research in collaboration with Tulsa’s Educare programs and a large, multi-year study with colleagues from Georgetown and Harvard Universities to investigate children’s development from pre-K through grade 3.
