2021 Fall Undergraduate Orientation

On Friday, Sept. 10, students who are new to the college in fall 2021 were invited to Collings Hall to pick up their iPads and learn more about what the college has to offer. Students had a chance to meet with faculty, fellow teacher candidates and enjoyed food and a scavenger hunt.

2021 OACTE Conference

The 2021 Oklahoma Association of Colleges for Teacher Education conference took place Nov. 11-12 on the OU campus at the Thurman J. White Forum Building. Associate Dean Aiyana Henry, who currently serves as OACTE president, organzied the event, featuring keynote speaker Lynn M. Gangone, Ed.D., president of the American Association of Colleges for Teacher Education.

A Visit to Mr. Renteria's Classroom

Dean Stacy Reeder and Associate Dean Aiyana Henry paid a visit to Juan Renteria's (B.S. Ed. 2015; M.Ed. 2018) fifth-grade classroom at Truman Elemnetary in Norman in September. They were there to present Renteria with his Inspiring Excellence in Education award from the 2021 Celebration of Education.

2021 Scholarship Luncheon

On Sept. 12, Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education scholarship recipients and donors gathered at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History to celebrate the accomplishments of the students, as well as the generosity of the donors.
