ECEI Receives NIH Grant
OU-Tulsa's Early Childhood Education Institute (ECEI) has received a $2.7 million award from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) National Institute of Child Health and Human Development to extend work with researchers from Georgetown University
JRCoE Graduate Named 2019 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year
Becky Oglesby, a Yukon elementary school art educator whose alter-ego as the Caped Crusader earned her the nickname the “Batman Teacher” is Oklahoma’s 2019 Teacher of the Year.
Debt-Free Teachers Program Celebrates Milestone
Donors, current students and alumni gathered on May 17 to celebrate several milestones reached by the OU Debt-Free Teachers program. More than 100 students have now been admitted to the program.

The Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education celebrated Homecoming 2018 on Oct. 27, taking part in the OU Homecoming parade before playing host to an alumni tailgate prior to the game.

JRCoE students Megan Curry and Hunter Matusevic were recently honored by the Division on Career Development Transition.
Stewart Honored with Presidential Award
Macey (Morgan) Stewart was awarded the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
Sheehan Named Einstein Fellow
JRCoE graduate Shawn Sheehan was named an Albert Einstein Distinguished Educator Fellow for 2018-19.
McLaughlin Family Honors Matriarch
The McLaughlin family honored Jean McLaughlin with a gift to the Debt-Free Teachers Program.

By becoming a monthly supporter of the Jeannine Rainbolt College of Education, you will provide year-round opportunities for students and faculty who are working to improve education in Oklahoma and beyond. Funds donated will be directed to the college’s general fund, which supports student scholarships, emergency student needs and multiple student organizations, among other initiatives.
Donating is easy.
By having a small amount charged to your credit card each month, you can make a BIG impact without writing a huge check. You can cancel or change the amount of your monthly gift at any time.
Examples of how your monthly gift can make an impact:
- $6 a month can provide refreshments for the college’s weekly Tuesday Tea event for undergraduate and graduate students.
- $12 a month can support a book club for JRCoE students for an entire semester.
- $22 a month can provide annual dues to national student organizations for outstanding students.
