Dr. Christopher Black leads the award winning Sensory and Muscle Function Laboratory in the OU Department of Health and Exercise Science. Dr. Black's primary research interests lie in neuromuscular physiology, pain perception, and the interactions between exercise and pain. His work aims to deepen the understanding of how exercise influences pain responses and neuromuscular function, contributing to improved health and rehabilitation outcomes. He has published more than 60 articles in leading journals, including Frontiers in Psychology, Frontiers in Physiology, Journal of Pain, and Medicine & Science in Sports & Exercise.
