As an Associate Research Director with DISC, representing the social sciences, Dr. Erin Maher supports and leads several projects. Maher works with the College of Law to bring a panel of national speakers together for an in-person event for AI applications within law. She supports the Methods Core for a COBRE NIH grant on health inequities. In addition, Maher is the leader of the Opioid Research Group, co-sponsored by DISC and the College of Arts and Sciences and planning a fall research panel with expansion opportunities. She is on or supporting a couple of DISC Seed Grants, as well. Maher is part of a team of investigators that submitted a wastewater-based epidemiology surveillance project involving DISC to the Foundation for Opioid Response Efforts. She supports applications for other funding opportunities, as well, as needed and assigned. Maher researchers who could benefit from DISC support to our institute.
