Ismael Carmona Casado (he/him) is an international student from Spain currently working towards the MA in Global Studies program at the University of Oklahoma. He graduated from the same institution with degrees in Supply Chain Management (BBA) and International & Area Studies (BA). Throughout his academic career, he has been recognized as a distinguished scholar, having received, among others, the Admiral William J. Crowe Jr. Award, the Regents' Award for Outstanding Juniors, or the President's Award for Outstanding Sophomores. Besides serving as a CPD-Security in Context Research Fellow, he is currently also serving as a Graduate Assistant at the David L. Boren College of International Studies. He is also experienced in the field of consulting and has served in various leadership roles. His main academic research interests lie in the areas of European Union politics, great power politics and great power competition, migration, European security (with a particular focus on NATO), and international governance.
