Greek Mandatory Educational Sessions

In line with Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services' mission of providing a safe, meaningful, and transformative membership experience for our students, all new members are expected to complete a few educational sessions as they enter the fraternity and sorority community.

These trainings are hosted and facilitated semesterly by FSPS and fulfill the Board of Regents' training requirements for Greek students. These trainings supplement any mandated first-year trainings required by the University of Oklahoma. It is the responsibility of the chapter and the new member to ensure they have completed all mandatory trainings during their first year of Greek membership.

Greek Alcohol and Other Drugs Training

The University of Oklahoma's Comprehensive Alcohol & Other Drug Program is designed around four guiding principles: education, environmental management, enforcement, and counseling services. FSPS works with OU Health Promotions to facilitate an educational program centering the Greek membership experience and safer drinking practices.

The Greek Consent Conversation 2.0

The Greek Consent Conversation 2.0 asks participants to further apply what they learned in their initial Consent Conversation workshop. Facilitated by peer educators, this 1-hour interactive presentation utilizes video clips from popular media to help reinforce students’ understanding of how consent is – and is not – communicated. This workshop is focused on the Greek experience.

Hazing Education and Reporting Training

The Hazing Education and Reporting Resources Training is facilitated by the Fraternity and Sorority Programs and Services team. This training focuses on better understanding what hazing is, how to spot hazing behaviors, and what to do if students encounter hazing on campus in their own or other organizations. The training also covers the various reporting resources available to students.
