Campus Activities Council programs more than 10 campus-wide events and activities throughout the school year, and you can help make them happen!
The Executive Committee is made up of the Event Chair, Vice Chairs, and Committee members that works cohesively to program an event on campus. The entire Committee meets once a week, and members work with their Vice Chairs and Chair to publicize, program, and create great events. Each Committee Member is a vital part of how CAC programs great events.
Members of the Event Exec help with the operations, programming, publicity, and sponsorship efforts of each event throughout the year. The executive committee meets weekly. Each committee member will have specific jobs completed through the committees listed below. A student can only serve on one year-long and one spring OR fall committee or on one spring and one fall committee.
Positions are open to anyone and everyone; no experience required. Students can apply for any of these positions for any event: Executive Committee, Vice Chair, and Chair. Typically, Vice Chairs and Chairs have spent a year involved with CAC. Each event has a common application, and each applicant is guaranteed an interview with the events Vice Chairs and Chair. The common application includes a place to submit your resumé and a couple of short responses. The interview should last no longer than fifteen minutes, and you'll hear back soon, promise!

Interviewing for a CAC Vice Chair position will focus on getting to know your vision for the event, how you would structure your committee meetings, as well as why you are applying for the specific event and vice chair position that you have applied for. We will ask questions about yourself, your strengths, areas you can develop, and more.
Those interviewing you will typically be the Event Chair and other members of General Council.
Unless otherwise mentioned, CAC interviews are business casual.
Vice Chair positions vary from event to event, but all CAC events typically have these vice chair positions:
Executive Vice Chair
The Executive Vice Chair is tasked with assisting the Chair with all day-to-day administrative affairs. If for any reason the Chair is unable to fulfill their responsibilities, the Executive Vice Chair will temporarily assume that position and be in charge of leading any meetings without the Chair. This person should be organized, self-motivated, and professional.
Programming Vice Chair
The Vice Chair of Programming is tasked with leading the Programming Executive Committee in planning and executing events throughout the year/for the length of the event. This includes overseeing tasks such as booking locations, ordering food and drinks for events, and ensuring the needs of each event is met. They will also oversee that their committee.
Publicity Vice Chair
The Vice Chair of Publicity is in charge of leading the Publicity Executive Committee in raising awareness of Film Series and its events throughout the year by way of social media, chalking on the South Oval, posters, graphics, logos, and all other PR tactics. Other duties will include having a close relationship with the CAC Publicity Chair and their PR committee. This person should be creative, open-minded, and self-motivated.
Sponsorship Vice Chair
The Vice Chair of Sponsorship is in charge of leading the Sponsorship Committee in reaching out to local businesses to set up meetings, obtain sponsorship money, and build relationships. Additional duties include being a contact person to outside entities and being a representative of the Event outside of meetings. This person should be professional, driven, and self-motivated.
Outreach Vice Chair
The Vice Chair of Outreach is in charge of leading the Outreach Executive Committee in reacing out to other organizations on campus both through email and in person to co-program events, alongside overseeing the student suggestion box. This position will requrie time devoted outside of weekly meetings and create positive relationships with them. This person should be organized, personable, and professional.
