The University of Oklahoma Price College of Business | October 2023 Newsletter

Hi Friends,

The fall semester is in full swing, bringing beautiful weather, an inspiring OU win over Texas and plenty of good news for Price College.

I am happy to share Price welcomed a record 5,800 students to our programs this academic year. This includes more than 1,100 OU freshmen who have declared business as their major — also a record.

I’m delighted by our continued growth, but I’m just as thrilled that we’re not just getting bigger, we’re getting better.

As you will note from our news roundup, several of our programs received national recognition. Most notably, our undergraduate program maintained its position as the top B-school in Oklahoma and top-70 nationally, according to U.S. News & World Report. Three of our majors — Management Information Systems, Entrepreneurship and International Business — were also ranked in the top-30 nationally for their respective programs.

These accomplishments are a testament to the incredible work the members of the Price community perform every day.

I’ve enjoyed getting out and seeing many of you this semester. From the fun of Business Week to our Red River Reception in Dallas, it’s been an energizing semester at Price — and there’s more to come.

Price College’s Dean Speaker Series is set to launch Nov. 10 with renowned researcher Ethan Mollick delivering an insightful keynote on the impact of AI on our careers, higher education and personal lives. All are welcome to this event, but please make sure to RSVP as seating is limited!

I hope to see you at our annual tailgate on Nov. 11. While we don’t have a kickoff time yet, we can’t wait to celebrate with you ahead of the West Virginia game.

I’d like to thank you for your support in helping Price College develop the future leaders our state and nation need. Please enjoy this month's newsletter as we highlight the incredible work of our students, faculty and staff.

I wish you all the best with the rest of the semester.

Boomer!
