Nathan A. Black, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Price College of Business at the University of Oklahoma. He earned his Ph.D. in Management and Entrepreneurship from the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa and his B.S. in Human Resource Management from Brigham Young University.
Dr. Black’s research explores employee voice, supervisor responses, and the intersection of work and well-being, with a particular focus on mental health in organizations. His work has been published in leading outlets such as the Academy of Management Review and has received recognition including the 2023 SHRM Foundation Dissertation Grant. He also contributes regularly to the Academy of Management, where his scholarship has been presented at multiple annual conferences and honored with Best Reviewer Awards. In the classroom, Dr. Black teaches courses in organizational behavior and conscious capitalism.
