Matthew L. Jensen, Ph.D., University of Arizona, 2007, is the W.P. Wood Professor of Management Information Systems and a co-director of the Center for Applied Social Research at the University of Oklahoma.
Jensen's research interests include computer-aided decision-making, human-computer interaction, knowledge management, and computer-mediated communication. He leads interdisciplinary teams investigating how people filter and evaluate information online, with a focus on understanding the processes people use to attribute credibility in mediated and AI-assisted interactions.
His research has been published in MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of MIS, Information Systems Journal, European Journal of Information Systems, and various IEEE journals. His interdisciplinary work has appeared in Communication Research, Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, and Journal of the American Society for Information Science and Technology. Jensen has served as the primary investigator or co-primary investigator on research projects totaling more than $9.7 million, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and other federal agencies.
