About Harris

Luke Harris is an instructor in the Management Information Systems Division at the Michael F. Price College of Business. He teaches courses in infrastructure, cybersecurity, business intelligence, and e-business. Drawing on more than three decades of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity experience, he integrates industry practice with academic theory to prepare students for both technical and managerial careers in cybersecurity and information systems.

Before joining OU, Professor Harris created the program and taught cybersecurity at Canadian Valley Technology Center, where he built a nationally recognized program and coached students in cyber competitions such as CyberPatriot, NSA Codebreaker, NCL, and US Cyber Games. He has held leadership roles in both the public and private sectors, including service as a Captain in the United States Air Force and as a board member for Delaware Nation Industries, a tribally owned IT services contractor. He holds over 15 professional certifications from SANS/GIAC, ISC2, Cicso, Linux Professional Institute, and EC-Council.
