Dr. James Young is the Executive Director of the Center for Real Estate Finance at the University of Oklahoma. James has over 30 years of experience in analyzing property markets worldwide both as a consultant and as an academic with emphasis on real estate finance, market analysis, urban economics, and housing. Prior to joining OU, James held senior academic positions at the University of North Georgia, The University of Auckland in New Zealand and at Cass Business School, City University, London. James was also Director of the Washington Center for Real Estate Research at the University of Washington. In addition, he publishes in several internationally recognized leading academic journals including Urban Studies, Real Estate Economics, Housing Studies, Journal of Housing Economics, and the Journal of Real Estate Research. James has also worked as a research consultant for developers, lenders, real estate agencies, government organizations and professional groups worldwide. He has held board positions with the European Real Estate Society, the International Real Estate Society, and is a Distinguished Fello of the American Real Estate Society.
Dr. Young holds a PhD from the University of South Australia, an MBA from Michigan State University, and a BA with Honors from the University of Arkansas.
