About Voican Bolino

Professor Ana Voican Bolino teaches cross-cultural issues in managerial behavior and business policy and strategy in the undergraduate program. Her research interests include expatriate adjustment, knowledge transfer, and organizational learning. Before her role as the executive director of undergraduate programs, Bolino helped develop study abroad programs for the Price College of Business and served as the director of Price College Study Abroad programs for more than 10 years. She is also the international programs coordinator for the college. Bolino is a member of the Academy of Management and the honor societies Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Beta Delta.

In 2009, she received the "Biggest Influence" Award from the Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity. She was awarded the Good Teaching Award from the University of Oklahoma in 2012 and the David L. Boren Award for Outstanding Global Engagement in 2018. She is also the recipient of the Morris Butkin Memorial Professor of Excellence Award (2013, 2015) and the Tamara Pullin Partners in Learning Award (2019).

Bolino was born and raised in Bucharest, Romania. She earned an undergraduate degree in economic cybernetics with a minor in statistics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, an MBA from Winthrop University, and a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina with a focus on international strategy. Before joining the Price College of Business, she taught at the University of Notre Dame and Winthrop University.
