Dear Colleagues,

After five years of dedicated service to the University of Oklahoma, Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer Amy Noah has shared her intention to retire at the end of June.

Since joining OU in April 2021, Amy has led our Advancement enterprise during a pivotal period in our university’s history. She brought with her more than two decades of fundraising leadership experience and a clear understanding of what it takes to build a best-in-class operation. Under her leadership, Advancement successfully transitioned to the OU Foundation and laid the strategic groundwork for our historic $2 billion “Lead On” fundraising campaign. In partnership with our loyal donors and friends, Amy has helped drive transformational impact across this institution and positioned us for sustained success.

Amy has been a trusted partner to the OU Family and a powerful advocate for our university’s future. She has consistently challenged us to think boldly about our priorities and to pursue opportunities that will strengthen OU for generations to come. I am grateful for her leadership and the momentum she has helped create. Looking ahead, we are exploring the possibility of her continuing in a consulting capacity after her retirement, with more specifics to follow as those plans are finalized.

While Amy will certainly be missed, she has positioned us exceptionally well for what comes next. I am pleased to share that Jay Kahn, who currently serves as Senior Assistant Vice President of Advancement and Campaigns for the OU Foundation and has been a key partner to Amy since joining us in 2023, has accepted the role of Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, effective July 1, 2026. Jay understands the vision that guides our work and the importance of sustaining the momentum we have built together. I am confident he will provide strong, effective leadership as we continue advancing our mission.

Please join me in extending our gratitude and best wishes to Amy in her retirement and in congratulating Jay as he steps into this important role.

Live On, University,

Joseph Harroz, Jr.
President
