There are many opportunities on campus, year-round, for families to gather and celebrate being at the University of Oklahoma. Check out some of these engaging opportunities below.
Join us at the Family Farewell for a celebratory event before you say goodbye to your student(s)! This event takes place during OU Move-in. Enjoy free ice cream served by OU staff, faculty, and student leaders. Stop by the Parent and Family Programs tent to purchase your Oklahoma Family t-shirt and take a picture in the photo booth!
Hosted within the New Student Programs Office, OU’s premiere orientation camp, the Camp Crimson team works hard to create programming to help students acclimate to college life and connect with both classmates and outstanding peers who serve as mentors throughout the entire first year and beyond.
Camp Crimson will be packed with engaging activities that will allow students to connect with their peers, get to know the campus, learn about OU's history and traditions, complete their first-year trainings, and attend many awesome events.
Family Weekend welcomes all members of OU families to learn more about the organizations, people and places that have become important to your student! Whether it's your first time visiting campus or you are returning, this weekend offers a great opportunity for families to tour the campus, participate in a variety of activities or traditions, meet other OU families, spend quality time together, and explore your student's "home away from home." Family Weekend occurs in both the fall and spring semesters.
