For more than 25 years, OU has hosted Camp Crimson, an orientation experience designed to assist undergraduate students as they transition into their first year at the University of Oklahoma.

Camp Crimson is a 5-day orientation experience that gives students the opportunity to connect with their new OU community. These days will be packed with engaging activities that will allow students to connect with their peers, get to know campus, learn about OU's history and traditions, complete their first-year trainings, connect with faculty and staff, and attend many amazing events. Our time together includes Class Kick-Off, special opportunities just for transfer students, early connections to the career center and campus resources, and more!

Transfer students may opt-in to Camp Crimson through their OU Bound Account. If you have questions, please email us at campcrimson@ou.edu

Is Camp For Me?

Camp Crimson is not just a summer orientation camp. It's the beginning of a relationship between new students and the University of Oklahoma. While Camp Crimson is a great way for new students to learn the ins-and-outs of OU, our primary goal is that every camper leaves Camp Crimson feeling that they have been connected with a vital support system to help them succeed.

Transfer students are able to attend Camp Crimson. This experience will also provide the opportunity for students to connect with their peers, get to know campus, connect with transfer-specific resources, connect with faculty and staff, and prepare for their time at OU.

Does it work?

What makes Camp Crimson so impactful?

Our camp activities are designed to teach students about college expectations, the OU campus, OU's history and traditions, how to get involved and many other things that will help ease their transition to OU. That stuff is important to know, but what the campers talk about most is all the people they've met. They not only know important information that will help them succeed, but they know that they've got a support system in place that they can turn to whenever that transition gets tough.

Who is Camp Crimson for?
