New Student Programs newest tradition begins with our first annual Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome. Taking inspiration from Camp Crimson, a long-standing OU tradition, Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome will be an orientation experience designed to welcome students joining the University of Oklahoma in January.
Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome is a 2-day experience where students can expect to connect with peers as well as meet current students, staff, and faculty. There will be informational sessions and engaging activities that will help students explore campus, build a community, and start their year off right!

We recognize that the welcome experience/transition experience for students joining during the spring semester is condensed or event non-existent in some respects. Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome aims to provide students with the opportunity to build connections and develop a support system, so they feel prepared to take on life at the University of Oklahoma!
Apply before January 2nd, 2025 for a scholarship to cover the program cost here!
Our camp activities are designed to teach students about college expectations, the OU campus, OU's history and traditions, how to get involved and many other things that will help ease their transition to OU. This information will set students up for success in their college journey.
Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome is for any incoming spring semester student!
All students that are interested in participating in Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome will need to complete our registration form that is linked at the top of this page. There is a $25 cost for the program that would be charged to your bursar account.

Yes! We would love to have every incoming student participate in Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome. You will let us know on the registration form that you are living off-campus, and the start/end times for both days allow for travel time.
The cost of Camp Crimson: Winter Welcome will cover the cost of any supplies need to make the program the best experience for our students.
