OADII Symposium Student Poster Contest


 1st Place Winner - $500 | 2nd Place Winner - $250 | 3rd Place Winner - $100

Overview:

  • Posters will be judged on-site at the OADII Symposium Reception on October 20, 2022 at the Sam Noble Museum of Natural History
  • Students will present their posters during the symposium reception from 5 to 6 p.m. 
  • FREE dinner is included with symposium attendance
  • Winners will be announced after dinner 7:45 p.m.
  • Posters will be printed (48”x36”), delivered and set up at no cost to students

DEADLINE: Submissions are due by October 3, 2022 

 

How to Enter

Complete the application and upload a PDF of your poster to the OADII Poster Competition website. Finalists will be announced on October 5, 2022.

Criteria

Posters must illustrate research projects/topics that address solutions in the national security/defense sector. We are encouraging a broad range of topics. Example topics include (but are not limited to) radar innovations, advanced manufacturing, policy, supply chain, AI, Security Implications of Emerging Technologies, International Security in Information, Counter UAS, etc.

Submissions are evaluated on their originality, scientific merits, structure, and clarity of composition. All submissions will be evaluated by a panel of judges, and winners will be selected based on the merits of submissions. A total of 10-15 finalists will be selected for participation. 

All undergraduate and graduate students are eligible.

Guidelines

The student should be listed as the first author (corresponding author) and the student’s advisor as the second or the last author. Other individuals may be listed as co-authors, if appropriate. A student may submit only ONE entry for the Student Poster Competition.  

Submissions will be evaluated for originality, scientific merits, structure, and clarity of composition. All submissions will be peer-reviewed and winners will be selected based on the merits of submissions.

Poster dimensions 48” x 36” 

Reception Information

OADII will print all posters for selected finalists, mount them on foam board and have them displayed at the Sam Noble Museum during the OADII Symposium dinner reception from 4:45 - 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 20th. Students must attend in order to present their posters. The audience will include aerospace/national defense leaders from government, academia and industry. 

Dinner is included for all finalists.

 

All finalists will receive a certificate. First place winner will receive $500, second place winner will receive $250, and third place winner will receive $100.
