OADII Faculty Networking Event

In partnership with the Center for Faculty Excellence, the Oklahoma Aerospace & Defense Innovation Institute (OADII) hosted its first networking event on Wednesday, August 17.

The event provided the opportunity for OU faculty to meet and engage with the OADII team and other OU colleagues interested in applying their research capabilities to aerospace, defense, and global security challenges.

Lt. Gen. (ret.) Gene Kirkland, OADII executive director, gave an overview of OADII and how it fits within the larger OU emphasis on applied research in support of national security. In addition to highlighting a few of the ongoing DoD-related research projects, the OADII team discussed new opportunities for navigating the DoD funding landscape and OADII competitive seed grants for the coming academic year.
