OU United Way Campaign Kicks Off to Support Stronger Communities
The University of Oklahoma is teaming up with the United Way to help build stronger communities in Norman, Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Donations help improve education, strengthen financial stability and advance community-based and community-led solutions.
Oct. 4 starting at noon, OU-Tulsa will host Freckles Friday and a trike race on the front lawn of the Schusterman Center. Onlookers can enjoy a free treat from Freckles Frozen Custard.
Also on Oct. 4, OU Health Sciences Center will host the Wacky Games beginning at 10:45 a.m. The HSC Deans and CEOs will face off in the CEO Challenge at 11 a.m., followed by water volleyball, H2O Throw, HydroHoops, Tri-Wack-A-Thon and Synchronized Beam. There will be music, awards, a bake sale and several food trucks across the HSC campus.
This past weekend, the Norman campus shared a portion of each ticket sold to the OU v. Texas Tech Boomer Bash with the OU United Way Campaign drive.
