Fall Food Drive
The University of Oklahoma’s annual Fall Food Drive benefiting the OU Food Pantry kicks off on Monday, Oct. 14. Last year, the drive collected 5,740 pounds of food. Organizers are hoping to exceed that total this year to help the one in six Oklahomans who struggle with food insecurity.
Research has shown college students from various economic backgrounds suffer from hunger and food insecurity. The OU Food Pantry is a student-run facility dedicated to fighting food insecurity and creating a culture of health and wellness in the OU community.
There are multiple ways to get involved, including, purchasing or donating cans and non-perishable items. Is there a location they can be dropped off? For more information visit http://www.ou.edu/leadandvolunteer.
