Residence Halls
New spring 2025 residents to the Residence Halls will be able to move in between Wednesday, January 8 and Monday, January 13 from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Once residents receive their housing assignment, they will be required to schedule their Spring 2025 Only Move-In through the housing portal at link.ou.edu/myhousingandfood. Housing assignments will be sent to residents' OU email accounts in late December. Residents needing to move in between Sunday, January 1 through Tuesday, January 9 may request an early arrival through the housing portal and will be notified through their OU email regarding the status of their request. Submission of an early arrival request does not guarantee approval. We look forward to welcoming you to campus in the spring!
Traditions Square

Residents of Couch and Walker Centers, David L. Boren Hall, the Residential Colleges and Cross Village will move in August 12-13. Specific Move-In day and time assignments will be sent to students' OU email accounts. Students who arrive earlier than their dedicated check-in time will be asked to wait until their set time. Students will be unable to check-in early.
Students must arrive on their assigned date and during their assigned arrival window. If a student cannot arrive at their assigned date and time, they should arrive after 5 p.m. on August 12-13 or any time after August 13 to move in themselves.
Move-In Process and Guidelines
Move-In Service: OU has partnered with University and Student Services to provide a full-service move-in for students living in the Residence Halls, the Residential Colleges and Cross Village. After they check-in at the Lloyd Noble Center, volunteers will guide them north to the residential area of campus. Once they arrive at their assigned building, University and Student Services will unload their vehicle and move all of their items into their room for them.
If a student has opted out of Camp Crimson, they are encouraged to move in after August 13 to move in themselves.

Residents of Traditions Square will begin Move-In Thursday, August 1. Residents are required to check in at the clubhouse for Move-In. The clubhouse will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 11 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Residents will receive an email to their OU email account with instructions on how to schedule a Move-In appointment.
Before you arrive for Move-In, you will need to have your campus ID, your Sooner Card. Sooner Cards are now completely digital, and we have made the entire process convenient for you to complete online. If you need a physical card printed, you can visit one of the Sooner Card offices.
You must upload and submit an ID photo using the eAccounts app through your smart device no later than July 1. Learn how to upload your photo in the eAccounts app.
After your photo has been approved, you are ready to add your Sooner Card to your mobile device. Visit the Sooner Card website for directions for both Apple and Android devices.
If you need a physical card printed, you can visit one of the Sooner Card offices.

Be mindful of room dimensions and avoid bringing more than youβll want to self-move out at the end of the academic year. Learn more about what furniture is available in each Residence Hall.
Please remember each student is allowed only two passenger vehicles through the move-in process. No trailers, U-Hauls, or moving trucks are allowed. If you have extra items or larger vehicles, they must be self-unloaded after 5:00 p.m.
It is crucial to adhere to your assigned Move-In time to keep the process flowing smoothly for everyone throughout the day. Arriving too early or late could cause delays.
Please label your belongings with your name and room number. Any fragile or heavy items should be labeled as such. Avoid bulky items to make the moving process faster and easier. Each dorm room is completely outfitted with furniture to make this your home. See the full list of furniture and what is available in each room in the Halls and Apartments.
Avoid having loose items in your vehicle. Ensure all items are packed in a box, bag, or container. Please label heavy or fragile items to ensure the best move-in experience.

For the best experience and to minimize your wait time as much as possible, arrive at Lloyd Noble Center at your assigned time slot. Yes. Please use the facilities at Lloyd Noble Center prior to checking in. It is possible that you will wait in a long line, and facilities are not available between Lloyd Noble Center and the Residence Halls.
Each student is only allowed to go through the provided USS unloading process once. If you have additional items at a retail store or in a storage locker, you should pick these things up prior to arriving to Lloyd Noble Center for check-in.
Yes. It is very important that all cars in your caravan stay together throughout the move-in process, including the check-in lines at Lloyd Noble Center. Please do not have your second car wait at a separate location or try to meet you at the Residence Halls if it is carrying any of your Move-In items.
No. Cars that do not contain items to be unloaded can be parked at the shuttle parking lot on the northeast side of Lloyd Noble Center. Shuttles will run from Lloyd Noble Center to the Residence Halls each day of Move-In.
It is likely that you will experience a wait during the Move-In process. It is important to arrive at Lloyd Noble Center with water for the people in your vehicle and a full tank of gas. Restrooms are available at Lloyd Noble Center. Please let the greeter know that you would like to use the facilities, and they will direct you to the appropriate parking area.
Student meal plans will be active when students arrive on their scheduled Move-In day.

MicroFridge Rental
Rent an Energy Star 3-in-1 appliance from USS. Unit includes a spacious refrigerator, zero-degree freezer, and powerful microwave. Rent for the academic year, USS will deliver and pick-up at the end of the year.
Laundry Service
Donβt waste time doing laundry, let USS do it for you! Just fill the provided bag and drop off at the designated location. USS will wash, dry, and fold; for you to pick up just 2 days later. This introductory service is per semester.
