Interior Design Division Hosts Career Prep Workshop

In February, the Interior Design Professional Advisory Board hosted their annual career prep workshop. This event helps students prepare for the career fair each spring through resume and portfolio feedback sessions and mock interviews. 

The workshop is open to all Interior Design juniors and seniors to improve their interview skills and receive guidance from industry professionals. Each year, the workshop alternates between in-person and virtual to give students practice with both formats. This year’s student participants included: Katelyn Bell, CWA Group; Angel Gonzales, Gensler; David Ramsey, Entos Designs; Abbie Seay, Cronan Associates; Christina Harris, GH2; Sara Ketabi, MA+; Julie Hornbeek, REES; Kathryn Kim, Kirksey Architecture; Ave Smith, Studio Plow.

Remembering Robert L. Wesley

Robert L. Wesley, a pioneering architect and beloved mentor, has died at age 88. A graduate of the University of Oklahoma, Wesley joined Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) in 1964 and became the firm's first Black partner in 1984. Throughout his career, he contributed to significant architectural projects while maintaining a strong commitment to civic engagement and professional mentorship.

University of Oklahoma Gibbs College of Architecture Dean Hans E. [PA1.1]Butzer returned to one of his most significant works on December 15, joining survivors and past and present board members for the groundbreaking of a $15.8 million expansion of the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum.
