The OU Carceral Studies Consortium will host a gathering on Wednesday, February 23rd, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. via Zoom (Click here for the ZOOM LINK).
The event is a time for OU faculty and staff who are doing work in the realm of Carceral Studies to learn more about the work their fellow colleagues are doing, provide feedback on which programming, events, and resources would be most helpful for the CSC to provide, share collaboration opportunities, and gauge faculty interest in affiliating with the Consortium in the coming year. During this gathering, the incoming Consortium director, Dr. Connie Chapple, will also be introduced.

The impact may have been, or continues to be, in the form of service and mentorship, sustained professional excellence, and/or advancement and financial support. Joseph Edgar Smay is part of the 2025 Hall of Fame class.
